Fractional Robotics
Fractional Robotics is a shared ownership and access model for humanoid robots. Instead of requiring every builder to own a full Dropbear, Fractional Robotics enables shared fleet access β organizations, makerspaces, and research labs can pool resources and share robots across teams.
The Concept
Building a humanoid robot is a significant investment. Fractional Robotics lowers the barrier by enabling:
- Shared ownership β multiple parties co-own a Dropbear and share costs
- Time-sliced access β schedule blocks of time for development and testing
- Remote operation β teleoperate or deploy code to a robot you don't physically have
- Fleet management β manage multiple robots across locations from the Hyperspawn platform
How It Works
Register on the Platform
Create an account and join the Fractional Robotics program.
Book Time Slots
Reserve blocks of time on an available Dropbear in your region or remotely.
Develop & Deploy
Upload your code, deploy skills, or teleoperate the robot during your slot.
Collect Data
All sensor data, logs, and recordings from your session are saved to your account.
For Universities & Research Labs
Fractional Robotics is especially relevant for academic institutions. A single Dropbear can serve an entire robotics lab β students schedule time for coursework, researchers run experiments, and the robot stays productive around the clock.
