Fractional Robotics

Fractional Robotics is a shared ownership and access model for humanoid robots. Instead of requiring every builder to own a full Dropbear, Fractional Robotics enables shared fleet access β€” organizations, makerspaces, and research labs can pool resources and share robots across teams.

The Concept

Building a humanoid robot is a significant investment. Fractional Robotics lowers the barrier by enabling:

  • Shared ownership β€” multiple parties co-own a Dropbear and share costs
  • Time-sliced access β€” schedule blocks of time for development and testing
  • Remote operation β€” teleoperate or deploy code to a robot you don't physically have
  • Fleet management β€” manage multiple robots across locations from the Hyperspawn platform

How It Works

1

Register on the Platform

Create an account and join the Fractional Robotics program.

2

Book Time Slots

Reserve blocks of time on an available Dropbear in your region or remotely.

3

Develop & Deploy

Upload your code, deploy skills, or teleoperate the robot during your slot.

4

Collect Data

All sensor data, logs, and recordings from your session are saved to your account.

For Universities & Research Labs

Fractional Robotics is especially relevant for academic institutions. A single Dropbear can serve an entire robotics lab β€” students schedule time for coursework, researchers run experiments, and the robot stays productive around the clock.
